It's time for another old walkthrough from Patreon! This artwork was drawn back in December of 2016. If you're new here, I've been taking old art tips and advice from my Patreon account and repurposing them for this blog post. I clean things up a little and expand a bit, all to help you guys out!
Long time no see here! Sorry about the hiatus. Not gonna lie, it can get pretty difficult to manage to stay active on several different platforms while also continuing to make new content. I'll do my best to post more here, especially to catch up with old private Patreon posts and rework/improve them for more blog content here!
As a quick spoiler, I've published a new book! You can find out more about it below, but if you're too hyped and want to see it now, you can buy it here!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but hopefully a little walkthrough can make up for it! This is an older artwork I drew in October of 2016! :) If you'd like to see a more recent portrait walkthrough, you can view it here. (Has a video to go along with it!)
Recently I held a paintalong on my Twitch channel, where I drew this portrait live from an empty canvas all the way to a completed painting. I wanted to share it for the long term, so for those who've missed it still have the opportunity to check it out!
IT. IS. TIME. You guys LOVED the first video of me talking about five mistakes I myself and other Copic (or any alcohol based marker) artists make, so now I'm back with a sequel!
Arteza reached out to me and sent me some art supplies to review for you guys! Note that this is NOT sponsored, but they did send me these for free and have given me an affiliate link in which I'd receive compensation for the referral, at no extra cost to you! Morning ya'll! :D So not too long ago, I made a video talking about tracing. It's a common hot-button topic amongst those inside and out of the art community, and I felt it was important to address it. If you haven't already seen it, I definitely recommend it, regardless of your feelings towards tracings.
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you've been having a great week ^^ Here's another old artwork and walkthrough from October of 2016 previously only available on Patreon.
Almost every day I get or see a comment along the lines of "I'm afraid to draw x", be it hands, feet, animals, cars, perspective, backgrounds, realism, watercolor, acrylic, digital--anything you can imagine. Inspired to talk about it, I went ahead and typed up this impromptu blog post. So let's get chatting ;)
Remember these lips? This is an old study from October 23, 2016. This walkthrough and subsequent video tutorials were originally for my Patreon page and I'm now making public for all of ya'll! :D
